Agreement between Ethel Barrymore and RKO Radio Pictures employing Barrymore "to perform the role of 'Willey' in the motion picture now entitled 'Memory of Love'...The employment of the Artist shall commence...not later than April 1, 1947, and shall continue thereafter until the completion of all services required...but not less than ten (10) weeks...at the rate of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) a week...." Ethel Barrymore (1879-1959) starred as Aunt Willey in the 1947 film renamed Night Song, costarring Dana Andrews and Merle Oberon. Barrymore had dreamed of being a concert pianist before becoming an actress. In Night Song, a brilliant pianist is struck blind in an accident and stops working on his equally brilliant concerto.
