A one page Land Grant signed "Jas.Monroe". Governor Monroe grants 160 acres of land in Madison County to Thomas Sherley, Zacheus Sherley and Joe Yowel. Signed at the bottom in black ink by Monroe. In very good condition, with moderate folds, light toning to the edges and folds, most noticably the fold down the middle. The seal is intact and there is some light wrinkling. Dated November 25,1801.Measures approximately 15" x 12". Unframed.
